The Buduburam Refugee Camp

The Buduburam Refugee Camp was established in 1990 by the Ghanian Government and the UNHCR when the second civil war erupted in Liberia. The camp is home to over forty-five thousand refugees. It is located on the Cape Coast road about an hour drive from Ghana's capital, Accra.

I actually know of a child currently working at the refugee camp. It's a heartbreaking story, really. He's carrying loads around camp for a small fee so that he can save up enough money for he and his grandmother to go home. There's an awesome couple, though, that's helping them out =] There need to be more people like them (and you) in the world.
